March is the month of celebrating women. From Women’s History Month, International Women’s Day to International Transgender Day of Visibility, March is a month of remembering, honouring and commemorating the contributions of women to our society. Thus, this month we have decided to focus on issues around women’s brain health; such as underrepresentation in medical research, having a higher probability of being affected by symptoms of dementia, and getting insights into caregiving and caregivers’ lives. We will also highlight the work that SCI does in steering the conversation around women’s brain health and revolutionising the caregiving industry through our annual scholarship, Queen Silvia Nursing Award and our biennial event Dementia Forum X.
