Before the summer ended, we welcomed two more new employees to Swedish Care International, in addition to Timothy Wagner and Sherry Cai from our new Knowledge Transfer team!

Introducing Cornelia Grip

Cornelia Grip

Cornelia Grip, Project Coordinator of Queen Silvia Nursing Award

Cornelia joined SCI as our new Project Coordinator of Queen Silvia Nursing Award in July. Coming from a unique international background in the travel industry as a cabin crew at SAS and as a travel consultant at TUI, she looks forward to adding a fresh perspective on promoting better dementia and elderly care globally.

Working closely with Fanny Enström, our Project Director on this project, Cornelia will be mostly involved in promoting Queen Silvia Nursing Award — an annual scholarship for nursing students — to more aspiring nurses in four countries. If you have been following us on our social media channels, you would have already heard from her! On top of building an online presence for QSNA, she will be appearing at our outreach events and in schools to spread the word about the scholarship as well. In addition to increasing awareness of Queen Silvia Nursing Award, she wishes to promote the nursing profession and their immense contributions to the society at large during her time at SCI.

Introducing Sophie Lu-Axelsson

Sophie Lu-Axelsson

Sophie Lu-Axelsson, Director of Venture Development

Sophie joined SCI as our Director of Venture Development in August. Previously engaged in roles at QuizRR and Carbon Disclosure Project,  Sophie hopes to bring her extensive background in sales and sustainability to SCI and will be leading our application development.

She will be working on promoting our digital and mobile applications — Memory Box, Elderly Care and Dementia Support — and finding new partners, who are also keen on raising awareness about dementia in their countries. She is a firm believer in utilising effective yet cost-friendly digital means to engage with more people, as she builds on our continuing efforts at SCI to bring Sweden’s elderly and dementia care philosophy to the rest of the world.

If you are looking for partnership opportunities in the digital space, don’t hesitate to send Sophie a message at sophie.lu.axelsson@sci.se!
