On 16th October, we officially welcomed many guests to a housewarming party for our office at Gyllenstiernsgatan 12, Stockholm. Among the guests, we had our Board of Directors and many key partners, who have been actively supporting SCI over the years. It was a meaningful evening, as our guests mingled and caught up with each other.

Halfway during the housewarming party, we also caught up with Kristian Halfwardson, who was on his 24th day on his journey to raise funds for dementia research around the world. Via a video call, he mentioned that he had just passed through Arizona and entered into New Mexico (he is now in Texas!). It was early morning in the United States and he hunkered down with a coffee, sheltering himself from the wind and rain that he had endured over the previous few days.

To date, Kristian has completed more than 1,500 km (about 1.5% of the total distance) and is getting used to life on the open road. So far, he has been in great spirits and had only one accident that called for a welder to repair his SCI-sponsored bicycle. We are thrilled that he is safe, motivated and having a great time on the road.

Do show him your support by giving a small donation!

Finally, we want to thank everyone who had come down to our official housewarming party! It could not have been so successful without our guests.

Here are some photos from the housewarming party!
