On the 19th of April, Queen Silvia Nursing Award was presented to Saga Wahltsröm, from Mälardalen University in Sweden, Michelle Ena, of Novia University of Applied Sciences in Finland, and Natalia Duszeńska, from Medical University of Warsaw in Poland.

Queen Silvia Nursing Award, a scholarship for nursing students, was established in Sweden in 2013 as a gift to Her Majesty Queen Silvia. The award has since been granted yearly to nursing students that create exceptional ideas focusing on the betterment of elderly care. The next Queen Silvia Nursing Award ceremony will be held on the 19th of April, 2017 in order to celebrate this year's Swedish winner at the Royal Palace of Stockholm.
